Abstract
Discusses a study which took place as part of the Early Numeracy Research Project (ENRP) in Victoria Australia in which 250 teachers of 5 to 8 year olds, participated in 3 years of research and professional development. Student interview data was used to identify particularly effective teachers and to study what they did. Lists the emerging common themes of effective teaching. Provides snapshots from the classrooms of effective teachers. (Editor)
