Job vacancy: Web Developer

We are looking for a web developer to maintain and develop our online presence at. NZCER's websites are used to share our research and publications, and to enable online access to our assessments and surveys.

We’re looking for a web developer who will work collaboratively with product owners, project managers, and partner organisations to deliver best-practice web solutions. You’ll help meet the high expectations that stakeholders and customers have of our content and service.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  •  A relevant tertiary degree or certificate in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in web development

  • An understanding and appreciation of the Treaty of Waitangi

  • Respect for and sensitivity in dealing with other cultures and languages

  • An orientation towards continuous improvement of systems and processes

  • A personal desire for ongoing learning and development

  • Recognition of the value of team effort; sensitivity to the needs and opinions of other team members

NZCER is an independent, not for profit, statutory body established in 1934. The NZCER Act requires the organisation to carry out and disseminate educational research, and provide information and advice.

Our people have expertise in both research and practice, and we are strongly connected to the education sector in Aotearoa New Zealand. We use the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa to help us uphold mana Māori in our work, relationships, and ways of working.
