Media release: He Reo Ora survey of te reo revitalisation activities and resources open until 20 May

People who have organised, participated in, or funded activities or developed resources to support te reo Māori revitalisation still have time to complete an online survey about their efforts.

Te Wāhanga–NZCER developed He Reo Ora to collect information about activities and resources that Te Mātāwai will use to create a free database. Te Mātāwai is the independent statutory entity that is charged with supporting te reo Māori revitalisation in homes and communities on behalf of iwi, Māori and Māori language communities.

From the responses so far, activities outnumber resources three to one. The activities are diverse, spanning some for groups of fewer than 10 people through to ones for more than 1000.
