Media release: NZCER appointee to Ministerial Advisory Group on NCEA

The New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER) is pleased with the appointment of one of its staff to the Ministerial Advisory Group on the review of NCEA, announced over the weekend.

Charles Darr, Manager of Assessment Design & Reporting, is currently leading projects that inform best practice in assessment, and has extensive experience in assessment design and development.

‘Charles’ expertise spans the development of assessment tools and analysis of the results.’ NZCER Director Graeme Cosslett said. ‘He will bring a strong combination of practical experience and intellectual rigour to the Ministerial Advisory Group.’

Charles Darr is currently working in a conceptual leadership role as part of NZCER’s contribution to the National Monitoring Study of Student Achievement – Wānangatia Te Putanga Tauria.
