I uru atu a Nicola i te rōpū rangahau o Te Wāhanga i Poutū-te-rangi 2012.
E whakaū ana a Nicola ki te whanake, ki te tautoko anō hoki i te reo Māori, te mātauranga, me te mahi whakangungu kaiako. I ngā tau ki mua rā he kaimahi ia mō Haemata Ltd. Nō muri i tērā, i mahi ia mō Te Taura Whiri i te reo Māori hei kaitātari kaupapa.
Nicola joined the Te Wāhanga team as a kairangahau in March 2012. Her research experience is in Māori language, education and professional learning and development. Nicola formerly worked as a consultant for Haemata Ltd, and prior to that, for the policy team at Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori.
Her primary interests are in contributing to the revitalisation of te reo Māori. She is interested in exploring the ways in which kaupapa Māori research approaches can contribute to making a positive difference to Māori learners.
