Adolescent Psychopathology Scale (APS)
The APS is a 346-item self-report measure of psychopathology, personality, socialemotional problems, and competencies. The items directly evaluate specific DSM-IV symptoms of psychiatric disorders found in adolescents. The instrument comprises 40 scales that measure four broad content domains:
- 20 Clinical disorder scales
- 5 Personality disorder scales
- 11 Psychosocial problem content scales
- 4 Response style indicator scales
Other psychological problems and behaviours that interfere with the adolescent's psychosocial adaptation and personal competence are also assessed.
A 115-item short form is also available.
