This projective technique presents situations of special concern to children. The test consists of 10 animal pictures in a social context involving the subject in various identities, roles, family structures, and interpersonal interactions. The CAT-H consists of human figures and situations and can be used as a play technique for those who do not easily produce stories. The CAT-S presents children with common family situations such as prolonged illness, physical disability, and separation of parents.
