A technique for assessing a child’s subjective experience of relationships with the family. From 20 cardboard figures the child selects one to represent each member of the family, including him or herself. The child then assigns cards bearing a single emotional statement or attitude to the figure to which each one best applies. The assessment allows the child’s feelings about aspects of their relationships in the family to be quantified across several qualitative dimensions. Used for individual and family counselling and as a research tool.
