The Majors Personality Type Inventory (MajorsPTI™) was created to take advantage of recent advances in the field of psychometric and theoretical thought about personality type. These advances include using new measurement techniques to create an instrument that more accurately determines one’s personality type. It can be used by accredited individuals for the enhancement of personal growth and knowledge as well as professional and organisational development. The MajorsPTI™ covers four key dimensions: the source of our energy, how we learn and take in information, how we make decisions and our preferred mental process or lifestyle for dealing with the world.

Majors Personality Type - Elements (Majors PT-Elements)
The Majors PT-Elements is a departure from the standard personality type measure, representing a new extension into the application of Jungian psychological types. It provides extensive information regarding an individual’s type, individual differences with type, strengths and challenges to type expression, and the development and use of the eight Jungian mental functions. It can be used by accredited individuals for the enhancement of personal growth and knowledge, as well as professional and organisational development.
The reported result for the individual's 16-type indication is given, as well as results on the 32 elements in 16 sub-scales, which illuminate personality differences within the dichotomy or type. In addition, the all new Elements of Personality Formation™ statements are included in the report which will help you or your clients understand some of the complex ways that they interact with others and respond to situations.
The Majors PT-Elements™ Detail Report is a clear 15-page report that articulates for the client the basics of type dichotomies, their whole type (four-letter code) descriptions and their Elements of Type/Sub-scale information and utility. The report promotes individual growth and understanding with the Elements of Personality Formation statements and provides brief descriptions of the 16-types for further self-exploration and assessment.
This manual introduces the contents of the Majors PT-Elements and gives an overview of basic measurement and psychometric understanding. It also contains information about the development history, theoretical foundations, psychometrics and ethical use of the instrument. The intent is to provide a concise, easy-to-use method of learning about the instrument in order to facilitate informed ethical use with various populations and applications.
