The WRP is used to assess the immediate needs of people with disabilities with respect to support, training, placement in open employment, or further assessment. The instrument can be self-administered, completed by a person known to the client, or by a practitioner during an interview session. A person’s level of performance is assessed by looking at how they rate on the following 12 factors:

  • Hearing
  • Vision
  • Travel
  • Movement
  • Fine motor skills
  • Work adjustment
  • Literacy and numeracy
  • Gross motor skills and strength
  • Abilities and skills
