Curriculum support for science
This is part of the Science in the curriculum series of projects. Rosemary Hipkins is co-leading the project with Kath Norton of CWA.
It involves the identification of existing resources that have the potential to provide support for the science learning area of NZC, with a particular focus on the Nature of Science strand. Resources that support the integration of literacy and numeracy with science will also be reviewed.
The next stage involves the shaping of insights into how and why the resources are currently used (or not) in order to develop an evidence-informed action plan for updating and where necessary adding to the current resource stock. The project also involves developing new resources and trialling these with teachers.
