Thank you for your interest in NZCER's work over 2011. We hope you have a happy and safe holiday period and we look forward to catching up in 2012.

The NZCER office closes on 23 December and reopens on 4 January 2012.

We held a successful event at Wellington's Westpac Stadium on 6 December to showcase our new products and services for 2012. Thanks to all those who attended despite the unseasonal weather. We hope to repeat the event in other centres next year. NZCER staff members presented on the newly revised STAR Reading test and a new online writing tool called NZCER SmartWriter. We also talked about the latest from NZCER Marking, our data and analysis services for schools and moving our educational journals online.

NZCER Project leader for the revision of the STAR Reading Test, Verena Watson,  explains aspects of the test to teachers during the showcase.

We are moving our four educational journals, Set: Research Information for Teachers, Early Childhood Folio, Curriculum Matters and Assessment Matters, online. Subscribers will have access to the current journal and the full archive, including set articles back to 1990.  You can sign up now for a free trial by emailing subscriptions at nzcer dot org dot nz
