Sorted in Schools, Te whai hua - kia ora! is a financial capability programme led by the Commission for Financial Capability (CFFC). The programme aims to equip all young people for their financial future. The current resources (available free to all secondary schools) are designed for Year 9-10 students. By 2021, there will be a full suite of resources for Years 9-13, for both the New Zealand Curriculum and Māori medium education. Find out more about Sorted in Schools at www.sortedinschools.org.nz.
NZCER is evaluating Sorted in Schools, Te whai hua - kia ora! The CFFC wants to understand how the programme is being implemented, if there are elements they should be changing, and whether the programme is having an impact on financial literacy and capability. The mixed-methods evaluation started in August 2019 and finishes in September 2020.
