Te Wāhanga–NZCER has been commissioned by  Te Mātāwai to gather information about activities and resources that support te reo Māori revitalisation.

Te Mātāwai is the independent statutory entity that is charged with supporting te reo Māori revitalisation in homes and communities on behalf of iwi, Māori and Māori language communities. Te Matawai intends to create a free database and will help people share ideas and plan their support for te reo Maori revitalisation.

Te Wāhanga–NZCER collected information from a combination of interviews with national organisations and an online survey of individuals called He Reo Ora.

The survey is now closed.

The survey asked participants about:

  • Māori language revitalisation activities that they have been involved with as an organiser, participant or funder since January 2016
  • Māori language revitalisation resources they have produced, used or funded since January 2012

The link to the He Reo Ora survey was shared on social media from February to May 2018.

Questions about the survey can be sent to reo@nzcer.org.nz
