The Characteristics of Successful Schools

Abstract

Word gets around: some schools are better than others, more pleasant to work in, and get better results. Eight schools, primary and secondary, in matched pairs, 'successful' and 'less-successful', were examined. Attitudes and organisation are very important, and reside in people.
