Josie Roberts

Associate

Josie has expertise in education and youth research and evaluation. She has been the Editor of Set: Research Information for Teachers for over 5 years. Josie has held selection, monitoring and development roles in the Teaching Learning Research Initiative. Most recently she led a review of the Education Gazette for the Ministry of Education.   

As a Senior Researcher and Researcher at NZCER, Josie worked as a project leader and team member on a wide range of projects, specialising in a futures focus around the themes of sustainability, citizenship, and enterprise. 

In 2010 Josie was the recipient of a Community Internship grant from the Department of Internal Affairs, set up to provide professional expertise to community organisations. Prior to NZCER, Josie was the inaugural Research Fellow at Victoria University’s Roy McKenzie Centre for the Study of Families and worked in research and evaluation in the Department of Labour, and Ministry of Social Development.
