New director appointed to lead NZCER

Graeme Cosslett has been appointed the new director and chief executive of NZCER. He is currently NZCER's General Manager, Products and Services, and will take up the new role in June. Board chairman Peter Coolbear says Graeme is a deeply committed educator with the skills, experience and drive to lead NZCER into an exciting new phase.

The appointment follows an extensive national and international search and selection process.

Graeme worked as a primary and intermediate teacher for 10 years, with a particular interest in technology, and he continues to serve as the chair of a school board of trustees. He joined NZCER in 2008, working as a product developer and supporting school assessment practices. He was appointed to one of three new general manager positions in 2011.
