Scale scores: they're much more valuable than stanines!

Join us in the coming week or two for some free introductory Progressive Achievement Test (PAT) webinars. These are aimed at APs / DPs, HoDs / HoFs, and any kaiako interested in understanding how they can use PATs for literacy and numeracy at Years 9 and 10. We will cover how they can inform:

Accurate transition information:

  • What literacy and numeracy levels do incoming Year 9 students have, and are basic reading or number skills acting as barriers to learning across secondary subjects?
  • What concepts do students already grasp from primary school, and where are the specific gaps in subject content?

Progress benchmarks

  • How well is an individual student, whole class, or year level across Year 9 & 10 progressing relative to the New Zealand Curriculum expectations?

Reporting to whānau using the Progress descriptors

  • What dependable evidence can be shared with parents and whānau during conferences or in twice-yearly progress reports?

Please register for one of the following webinars and we’ll see you there!
