Ben Gardiner is the Manager of the Professional Services team at NZCER. He manages the support and development of NZCER’s tests and surveys across primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors.
Ben is the programme manager for the TEC Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Tool, Wellbeing@School, and NZCER's Marking Service. He has worked in a number of projects in the secondary and tertiary sectors that focus on the educational experiences of young people and young adults.
Ben joined NZCER as a researcher before moving into the Products and Services team. He is a trained teacher with experience in primary schools. Ben holds a BA in Psychology and a diploma in teaching.
Ben has a passion for people, education, improved social outcomes, and a strong interest in learner agency and development. He has worked with a wide range of educational providers and organisations to explore how their mahi can help contribute to supporting learner success.
