Mātanga Whakahaere | Application Support Specialist
Cheynie is an Application Support Specialist in NZCER’s Professional Services team. She works closely with schools and education providers to support their use of NZCER’s Progressive Achievement Tests (PATs), assessment and survey tools. Her mahi is focused on helping schools and education providers use assessment information to help inform teaching and learning and better understand the needs of their ākonga.
Cheynie joined NZCER in 2025, drawing on previous experience working in Education, where she managed and implemented initiatives focused on contributing to equitable outcomes for ākonga, particularly in Kaupapa Māori and Māori Medium settings. This is a passion of hers and has been since beginning her career in Education in 2018. Cheynie is particularly interested in the evolving and diverse needs of kura, kaiako, ākonga and whānau.
