Registration extended until Tuesday 30 October for Games for Learning workshop

Mission Heights Junior College (Manukau, Auckland) supported by NZCER bring you a one-day workshop about games and game design for the classroom. The workshop covers both digital and non-digital games. The experienced presenters include a good mix of educators, game designers, and researchers including:

  • Dan Milward and Dave Thornycroft from Gamelab, the creators of Gamefroot
  • Tyne Crow, teaching fellow at Auckland ICT Graduate School
  • Rich Durham, from the University of Auckland and brain of Wondertree Studio
  • Diana-Grace Morris, RTLB and former lecturer in the School of Education at Auckland University of Technology
  • Chris Clay, Director of Futures Thinking at Diocesan School for Girls
  • Andrew Savage, history educator and Deputy Principal at Wellington High School
  • Rachel Bolstad, senior researcher at NZCER
  • Catherine Hunter, science and STEM teacher at Mission Heights Junior College

The workshop runs from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Saturday 3 November 2018. The cost is $99 per person, which includes lunch and morning and afternoon tea. Mission Heights Junior College is at 103 Jeffs Road, Mission Heights, Manukau.
